This design has been built as power only and as power plus sail. Proven over 15 years plus as excellent rough sea performer. Extremely low wash at slow or full speed. Higher power engines can be used but this design will do better that 9 knots with only 150hp. Full displacement hull with very steep bow sections, steep midships sections and a stern design that prevents squatting at full speed. These designs are so smooth in rough weather that you can power them through a wave at full speed into fresh air and land smoothly. Very dry on deck because of the fine entry and full flared high bow.
